Barcelona Shared Mobility Meetup

In Barcelona and in cities around the world, a growing number of startups are entering the market to provide innovative new mobility services to residents and visitors. Sharemrkt has identified more than 50 shared mobility services currently operating in Barcelona. Together with IoMob (a Barcelona-based urban mobility blockchain startup), we aim to open a dialog with the shared mobility community in Barcelona.

This is not a conference, but rather an opportunity for open dialog about how can the community of startups, established public and private mobility players and others in the ecosystem can collaborate and still compete in synergistic ways that can improve the provision of mobility services in our community.

Topics for discussion:

  • How to finance and scale shared mobility in Barcelona, in Spain and throughout Europe
  • How can the shared mobility community collaborate on key topics like shared access to public space for vehicle parking, common network effects and even shared technology platforms
  • How to improve the relationship between shared mobility providers and the Ayuntamiento
  • How to cost effectively enable tourist access to shared mobility services
  • How to minimize vandalism and theft of shared vehicles
  • Is shared mobility the first step to autonomous vehicles?
